John Adams was arguably the worst person to become president specially at such fragile time, but that doesn’t mean he had no great accomplishments. As irrational as he was he would have many great achievements to make him some what recognizable. Early on in his presidency he was faced with a conflict. The conflict was between France and Britain dubbed the “xyz” conflict due to Adams not using the enemies names but rather named them “person X” “person Y” and “person Z” the conflict was about the tradings between the United States that were trading with France and Britain. Since Britain and France weren’t in the greatest of terms neither country likes that the United States was supporting them. Adams then decided to just cut trading between the both of them since that was the best of dealing with issue diplomatically. This new law then helped the United states to become more self sustainable.
